One of my favorite dive bars in chula vista! I always feel so welcomed by all the staff, especially Jerry, who's one of the bouncers! Whenever I go with my friends, I always know he's looking out for us making sure we're safe and having a good time!

One of the bestest bars Chula Vista has!! Everyone is very nice and friendly and yes we do have a couple of rude drunk people who have no respect, but I’m very grateful for security for doing their job especially the security guard Jerry! He’s very kind and reasonable and is always looking out for everyone and the bar!! Thanks again for the amazing service!!

Has to be one of the best local bars in my opinion. The customer service is great! It’s always a good time no matter what day of the week it is. Whenever my friends and I go and we see one of the bouncers, Jerry, we know we are about to have a good and safe time.

I’ve been going here since I turned 21 and let me tell you the staff here are amazing!! Especially security! As a young female who goes to dive bars.. it can be hard to feel “safe” in certain locations. But silver dollar always makes me feel so at home and soo safe. Especially Jerry the security who is always walking around keeping his head on a swivel. If a weird guy approaches me he’s the first one to walk over and make sure I’m okay. He is the most professional yet sweetest security I have ever met and I work in nightlife in downtown SD. He’s become a main reason why I enjoy coming to silver dollar as I know I can have a few drinks and still feel incredibly safe!! Love you Jerry 🫶🏽

Great selection of beers and spirits, a very visited bar and a local of Chula Vista, you can always count with a very fun crowd to be in there on a saturday night. Good size dance floor with many people to dance with and also the staff is very nice and friendly. Good people and good drinks that's the soul of the Silver Dollar.

best dive bar on third ave ! the security guard Jerry is such a nice guy and has always made me feel super safe :) very thankful for his attentiveness and for him stepping in when this guy was giving me a hard time

I’ve recently started to frequent Silver Dollar again after several years. From the beginning, Jerry is very welcoming and I see him constantly making rounds to ensure everyone is in line. This is the reason I feel comfortable enough to visit Silver alone just like many other women I’ve seen. I do feel the need to mention Tiff as well for her amazing and quick service. She is definitely missed on the weekends when wait times are extremely long. Thank you Jerry and Tiff for always taking care of us 😌
